Chelsea fans might be forgiven for longing for the good old days when they collected trophies for fun.

And that stretches even down to the reported home kit for the 2024/25 season with the latest leaked strip leaving Chelsea fans fuming.

The new design sees a strange ocean-like wave pattern incorporated with orange tips on the sleeves and around the club badge and the logo of kit manufacturer Nike.

While important to stress that the design is a leak, there is also a glossy feel to the shirt - similar to this season's current top.

The away kit has been leaked too, according to Footy Headlines, which has already been lambasted by fans claiming it is just a rip-off of the new England shirt.

And it's safe to say that Three Lions supporters are not best pleased over one key design aspect of the Euro 2024 jersey.

It seems as if Nike can do no right at the moment, with many of the Chelsea faithful desperate to go back to the old days of Adidas.

Blasting the leaked home shirt, one fan wrote on X: "Awful. Nike cannot make Chelsea kits, they're almost always shocking."

Another replied: "I miss Adidas, damn I miss Umbro as well."

A third went stronger, saying: "What is this atrocity? We need Adidas back. If the sales are going down then Nike is the sole reason for it."

And this fan said: "Sponsorships are going up and up on the kit every year… What sort of nonsense is this??"

While another simply stated: "Bring back Adidas."

Alex Crook slams Todd Boehly's ownership of Chelsea and labels him the 'worst owner in the Premier League'

Chelsea signed a 15-year deal with Nike in 2016, where they ended a six-year agreement with Adidas early to join forces with the United States-based company.

It means that the Nike kits are not going anywhere anytime soon.

The last Adidas kit Chelsea had was in the 2016/17 term, which was also the last time they won the Premier League when Antonio Conte was in charge.

Since then, Chelsea have finished fifth, third, fourth, fourth again, third and 12th - and currently sit 11th in the table.

It might be fair to say that Blues fans are not particularly fond of their Nike kits, who have coincided with a time of difficulty at the club.
