But The Rock might not have full fan support.

The two Attitude Era sensations stood tall in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania XL, going face to face as part of the main event between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns

Rock had arrived on the scene first to thwart fellow wrestler turned actor John Cena, who’d himself entered the melee to fend off Solo Sikoa.

With the match getting out of hand and brilliant mayhem ensuing, The Deadman’s legendary gong echoed through the arena in Philadelphia, the Texan then appearing behind Rock and taking him out with a giant chokeslam.

That, of course, paved the way for Rhodes to taste victory by defeating Reigns to capture the Undisputed Universal Championship in one of the most epic finishes to a bout in WWE history.

Understandably, with so many big names playing a part in the dramatic scene, much of the talk after the event was surrounding the likes of Undertaker, Rock and Cena.

The Undertaker has already confirmed since WrestleMania that he’s made peace with the end of his active wrestling career, but he made clear he wouldn’t rule out another, similar cameo in future.

Likewise, The Rock has confirmed he’ll be heading back to WWE before too long to chase down new champ Rhodes, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, WWE’s Head of Creative, confirming that The Great One remains very much in the company’s on-screen plans.

What chance do fans have of seeing the iconic Undertaker and The Rock, who battled in many a high-profile match back in the Attitude Era, face off one more time?

If the social media accounts of the two megastars are anything to go by, it’s not one to rule out.

The two have even traded fairly gentle jabs at one another in a back and forth that has plenty of fans excited at the prospect of what lies ahead.

In an Instagram post featuring a photo of The Undertaker’s WrestleMania XL chokeslam, movie star Rock told his whopping 397 million followers: “This guy sure knows how to ruin a party.”

The Miami native then offered a mild threat to his fellow veteran, saying: “I’ll see you down the road my friend.

“Paybacks a b**** for you – but fun for me.”

Johnson signed off the post as the ‘Final Boss’, the moniker he afforded himself during his latest WWE run.

Even with his in-ring days behind him after a stellar 30-year career, The Undertaker remains one to never back down from a fight.

In reply, he offered as a comment: “The party doesn’t start until I walk in… I’m not hard to find!”

Fans adding comments lapped up their exchange, one adding of ‘Taker’s recent Mania showing: “That dong was 100% the best moment of the night.”

Another said in support of the Phenom: “I love the final boss but I ain’t ever picking Rock over Taker.”

A third quipped: “If The Rock is the final boss, Undertaker is the finalist boss,” while another warned: “Undertaker IS The Final Boss, Rocky Miavia (Rock’s former WWE name).

“Be careful what you wish for, or you and The Bloodline [will] be Resting in Peace.”
